Coastal Excellence: Serving Monterey Bay to San Francisco and Beyond

If you’re planning on buying or selling a home, then hiring a home inspector could save you thousands of dollars. It will also help you understand the property you want to buy and the possible defects. For sellers, it can provide insight into your home to know what to expect and what repairs to make before listing a property.

For homeowners looking to do repairs or remodels a dedicated inspection of the area to be remodeled can alert you to possible surprises before you start construction.

Infrared Inspections

The purpose of an infrared scan is to find hidden issues and catch them before they become a major problem. Thermal imaging is an advanced & newer technology that inspectors use to get temperature details about a home and assess how protected against environmental elements the home is.

Mold Testing

There are over 400,000 types of mold, and while there are only a few dozen that are toxic, exposure to many molds can lead to health problems. Places that are exposed to high amounts of moisture (like a bathroom or kitchen) are prime breeding grounds for mold and spores.

Wood Destroying Organism Inspections

Wood destroying organisms can go unnoticed until they cause catastrophic damage to your home. Whether you’re shopping for a home and suspect a termite issue, or you think your current home may be affected by termites, we can provide you with comprehensive testing, and help you understand your options for termite remediation if we do discover an infestation.

Remodel and Damage Inspections

It's easy to assume a newly remodeled home is defect-free. This is a huge misconception that could cost you thousands of dollars in repairs, or significantly decrease your property's value. If contractors work too quickly or carelessly, they could leave behind a project that only barely meets safety standards.

The Best Modern Report in the Industry

Our Spectora reports can be viewed on any device!

While TAP Home Assessment encourages our clients to walk through the home with us, we understand that you may be too busy, and may not have time to do so.

Regardless of whether or not you attend the inspection, we will compile a comprehensive Spectora report, which includes all of the information you need to determine the condition of your home or project.

We will deliver our report within 24 hours of the conclusion of your home inspection, so that you can quickly access a full overview of our findings – and discuss them with us and your agent. Return visits can also be scheduled to update any new findings or repairs that have been made and need to be documented.
